The Trends Of Online Advertising
By Jared Lansky | August 29, 2008

Unlike traditional methods of advertising, online tools can not only measure the behavior of your target audience, but can also provide an advertiser with detailed statistics about the number of people viewing the ad and how many click it. This technology has led to a huge amount of Internet growth, particularly for companies such as Google and Yahoo, and has left electronic media outlets, such as television and radio, looking for more ways to measure advertising responses like the Internet.
Newer and more accurate ways of tracking are always being studied so that advertisers get the most for their money. One method currently being tested involves an attempt to understand the kinds of advertisements consumer minds tend to register to easily. Researchers are showing different online advertisements to volunteers and scanning their brains as they watch them.
The reason so much work is being put in to determining just what kinds of online advertisements are effective is because it’s so much easier and less expensive to advertise online and advertising on the web promises much faster results than advertising with traditional medias. When businesses and advertising companies know more about online customer behavior, they’ll be able strategize ways to appeal more to potential customers and have a more successful business.
There are several different formats of online advertising currently being utilized by businesses and websites and being studied by researchers to develop more strategic advertising plans. One format, seen on almost every website on the Internet, is banner advertising. Banners ads are placed on websites based on certain key words and website demographics. Most do not realize that companies don’t just go on the Internet and search for websites to put each, individual banner ad on. Intelligence is used to automatically put an advertisement on a site specifically geared towards certain customers or what kinds of information they entered into a search engine.
Though banner ads are the most favored kind of online advertisements, other formats, like videos, emails and podcasts, are growing more popular each day. These forms are incorporating more information to captivate Internet users and potential customers by making them genuinely interested in a business and it’s products or services. Unlike banner ads, these techniques make a customer familiar with how a business can help them, not just the name of the company. These ads can also be placed throughout the Internet and help to raise a websites search engine rank, driving more traffic towards their site and, therefore, making more sales.
Another way advertisers have gotten web users interested in an otherwise ordinary ad, is to make advertisements more interactive and fun. Many online ads feature different games, riddles or questions to answer that make customers want to click on the ad and complete the task. After completing the task, the user is brought back to the product web page.
With new technology emerging each day, researchers are coming up with more ways to target a certain kind of consumer and entice their minds with dazzling advertisements, making online advertising a clear choice over traditional methods in other forms of media.

7 Key Steps To Make Money With Advertising Online
By Jared Lansky | August 20, 2008
By: Sean Ray
If you are one of those people who thinks you can’t make money with PPC advertising, think again. Fast advertising online is a great way to make money in addition to your normal income. Attracting the rights ads, however, is very important. Here are 7 key steps to make online advertising programs work for you.
Key 1: A Good Website
Remember that you will want to attract a certain kind of person, not a bunch of random folks. So target your website and build it around a specific audience and you will get ads placed that will appeal to those same people.
Key 2: Website Design
You don’t want to get people to visit your website then click off before they click on any ads. Design a visually pleasing website and they will stay.
Key 3: Readable and Useful Content
If you offer content that is poorly written or irrelevant, you won’t keep your readers long enough to click on ads. Keep your content interesting and fresh, even if you have to hire it done.
Key 4: Location, Location, Location
Remember that people read websites in an F pattern and left to right, so keep your ads on the left and content on the right side. Use only one headline at the top, and one subhead about a third to a half of the way down the article. Fast advertising online should be well-placed.
Key 5: Bigger Isn’t Better
Proportion is better. Don’t use large ads or visually competitive layouts. The clash will make people click off.
Key 6: Update Your Own Content
If your content is old, you will lose followers and therefore lose clicks. Keep it crisp and fresh.
Key 7: Do Not Click Your Own Ads
You will be shut down because that’s cheating, and the search engines know when it happens. Don’t be cute–play fair.

Online Advertising Techniques
By Jared Lansky | August 16, 2008
By Daegan Smith
Online advertising is necessary for your computer business to grow. An attention-grabbing ad is very important to the success of your web site. An ad written to draw visits to your site must be exciting, appealing, and friendly. The secret to a successful ad is to grab your target market’s attention. Potential customers read ads only when they catch their attention. Plan your online advertising around your ad’s appeal to your customers.
The purpose of online advertising is to create a sense of urgency. “Act Now!” “Increase Your Wealth!” “Limited Offer.” All these phases cause the customer to want to get in on the excitement. Online advertising’s main goal is to get your subject’s attention, arouse their interest, and capture their imagination. If you write your own ads, make sure to make them attention grabbing, not too overboard. Sometimes ads that push a customer too hard result in lost sales. Don’t be too pushy but yet ask for the sale.
When writing online advertising always remember you have just seconds to capture interest. If your ad copy moves slowly or sounds boring, you will likely lose the customer’s attention and surely they will click onto another site. The headline of your ad is the first place that can provide impact. An effective headline will make the reader want to learn more about your product or service. Spice them up and appeal to their emotions.
Online advertising with an effective headline can achieve effective results. There are certain words that attract customer’s attention more than others. Here are some of the words you might wish to consider using in your online advertising. Words like love, health, and safe make the reader response to their basic instincts. New and discovery draw out adventure. Proven and guaranteed make the reader feel at ease about trying your product. In any online advertising campaign, use words and phases that your customer can identify with and feel secure.

The Benefits To TRAFFIQ’s New Version Of Online Ad Exchange
By Jared Lansky | July 22, 2008
Online ad exchanges have become one of the most popular methods to promote and market your web site today. More and more people are looking for programs and web sites to use for exchanging ads with others. TRAFFIQ just recently launched their latest version of the online exchange of advertisements with many benefits.
The TRAFFIQ Source allows buyers and sellers to quickly get precision buys from quality inventory. There are three simple steps to take care of the entire process. First, the seller can list all of inventory they wish to without any constraints. Then, buyers who find inventory they are interested in can privately contact the seller. Lastly, the buyer and seller negotiate terms and close out the sale.
There are a number of benefits to online ad exchanges. As far as the buyer goes, they can immediately look at the available inventory, can proactively contact publishers, and have the ability to find the exact inventory they need with customization and flexibility.
As for the sellers, the key benefit is being able to list as much or as little inventory as they choose to without any limitations or barriers whatsoever. This increased flexibility is something that you will not find with any other types of online ad exchange.
One of the best features of TRAFFIQ’s new version is the smart tag technology. The smart tag technology has modernized the process of ad trafficking for publishers. It now allows publishers to manage multiple orders using a single ad tag.
This feature also benefits the sellers greatly. The smart tag technology provides sellers with a failover solution. What this does is allow publishers to sell their inventory at its highest market price and then quickly go to its next preferred monetization option.
There are a number of other general benefits to this new version from TRAFFIQ. It is expected to boost the strong appeal to mid-tail publishers that have original content because it will be easier for mid-sized advertisers to find specialty publishers and make purchases. This will allow advertisers to see a better return on ad spend, better conversion rates, and brand enhancement with the publisher’s brand.
If that were not enough, there are also the benefits that are already built into the platform. This includes the brand protection, transparent transactions, no exchange fees and maximizing ROI for buyers. For sellers, there are the benefits of securing the fair market value, the predictable revenue, and the extended reach to more advertisers and active buyers.
All in all, the new version of TRAFFIQ’s online ad exchange is something every buyer and seller should look into. “I’ve seen most exchanges out there and TRAFFIQ has really developed something special” states Jared Lansky. There are a number of different ad exchange programs and companies you can look at on the internet. But this is certainly one that is worth your time.

Online Ad Exchanges Continue To Grow In Popularity
By Jared Lansky | July 14, 2008
By: Guest Editor
It is inevitable that in order to have success with an online web site you must have quality advertising. While there are a number of different forms of advertising you can use to generate traffic to your site, not all methods are going to work for you. But one type of marketing that has grown significantly over time is online ad exchanges.
Banner advertising was the first kind of advertising on the internet and it continues to be a great way for people to generate traffic. A banner consists of some message that you can promote through a creative and visually appealing advertisement. You can use banner advertising on your site for different programs or pay other web sites to place your banner on their site.
The key with banner advertising is to find a web site that is worth placing your banner on. There is no point in placing your banner on a web site that gets less traffic than you already do. The goal is to find a web site that generates far more traffic than you so you can hopefully reel in as many people as possible from their web site.
Finding a web site that has a higher page rank than you will cost you some money. The reason for this is because this web site understands the situation and is not going to allow you to steal their traffic for free. That is where online ad exchanges come into effect.
This type of advertising, as you may have expected, is a form of exchange. What you are doing is exchanging your banner for someone else’s banner to place on your site. You are agreeing with this person to place their banner on your site in return for them placing your banner on their site.
It is not the easiest thing in the world to find the right web site that is willing to exchange banner ads with. However, it is well worth the trouble once you finally find the perfect web site. You will be amazed at how much traffic you will generate.
You have to realize that sometimes you will have to pay a small fee in addition to placing their banner on your site. Typically this is for web sites that have an incredible amount of traffic coming to their site. Even though you are placing their banner on your site and paying them, you will generate far more traffic than any other web sites.
There is no question why online ad exchanges have become so popular on the internet. It can be a free way to generate quality traffic to your site. All you have to do is find the right web site to switch with.

Jared Lansky Explains To You The Advantages For Using Mobile Advertising
By Jared Lansky | June 12, 2008
By: Guest Editor
Many people have heard of mobile advertising and have probably even experienced it on their cell phones. Mobile phones are becoming a great tool for business owners to reach consumers. This advertising method will quickly become the number one method because of all of the people that have cell phones. Most people carry their phones with them wherever they go, which means that you can easily reach them because when they get a message they will automatically look at it.
The way that this advertising is done is with image ads being sent to a mobile phone. Each of the images that go to cell phones will be linked to a mobile web page, it will also be keyword targeted. When you want to use this marketing method you will be paying a price based on a cost per click basis. Now, Jared Lansky wants you to understand the advantages to mobile advertising like he does. So, here are some of the different advantages you need to know.
One: When a mobile image ad is sent to cell phones, these ads can be used as branding tools for advertisers.
Two: These ads have been shown to have a good click through rate, which all business owners know how hard it can be to get people to read your advertisements. With cell phones this isn’t as hard to accomplish because people automatically look at an ad when they get a message on their phone.
Three: There will only be one image ad per page, which means that only one ad will be sent to each phone. This helps to ensure that your advertising will be seen instead of ignored for another company’s ad.
Four: Publishers will have added flexibility also because they have a choice as to what they advertise with. They can either use image ads, text ads or they can even use both if they want.
Five: Mobile advertising gives you a more effective and personal way to interact with consumers.
These are just a few of the many advantages to using mobile advertising. There are others that you will want to learn about. You can easily do this by researching it online, just be sure you check to see what Jared Lansky has to say about it because he understands this method of advertising and how important it could be for your future success. So, start learning all you can about this today.

How To Avoid Red Eye With Your Digital Camera
By Jared Lansky | May 25, 2008
By: Guest Editor
There is nothing worse than taking a beautiful picture only to find out the people have red eye. While many editing software can eliminate the red eye for you, it is nice to take a quality picture without having to change a thing. Jared Lansky wants you to know there are some things you can do to eliminate this problem.
Before knowing how to avoid it, shouldn’t you know what causes it? Red eye is caused by you taking a picture of someone with the flash on. The intense light that is let out hits the retina of the person’s eye thus illuminating the blood cells too quickly. This makes it so the iris of the eye cannot close down in time.
While it is fairly difficult to eliminate this problem because the flash is built so close to the lens, Jared Lansky says there are some things you can do. Obviously, the easiest way to eliminate this problem is to not use the flash. If you do not have enough light, this creates a problem. But you might as well take one with the flash and one without just to see what happens.
If you absolutely have to use the flash, move in closer to the subject. It may seem crazy, but the red eye effects tend to get worse the further away you move. This does not mean move right next to the person because if you are too close the features will become distorted. But try to stay within eight feet of the person for better results.
Another tip that not everyone is willing to do is have your subject look slightly to the left or the right of the camera. The digital camera will pick up the red eye most when the eyes are looking directly at the camera. By getting the person to look slightly away from the camera you can reduce the effects.
Not everyone is willing to take a picture like this because most people want the subject looking directly at the camera. If this is the case, you can use an external flash. What this does is eliminate the direct reflection problem altogether. For this method, you do have to carry around a small hand held flash unit, but it can drastically effect the picture for the better.
While there are a few more techniques you can use to eliminate red eye with your digital camera, these are some of the best according to Jared Lansky. And to capture the moment perfectly, the last thing you want is a roll full of red eye pictures.

Have You Considered Free Online Advertising?
By Jared Lansky | May 20, 2008
By: Guest Editor
Online advertising seems to confuse a lot of people in our world today and the most misunderstood thing about online advertising has to be the cost. Jared Lansky wants people to know that there is such a thing as free online advertising out there. With more than thirty five million potential customers online, why not give free advertisements a try.
It is hard to think of a place in this world today that lets you advertise twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, and for free. The reason for this is because there is nowhere else.
What kind of free online advertising is available today? Well Jared Lansky knows quite a few. A lot of people and companies believe the only free advertising on the internet is those free classified ad sites that actually exist on the internet. A recent survey indicated that there may be as much as three hundred plus places to actually advertise for free, without spamming.
Free advertising types used by Jared Lansky include free classified ads sites, appropriate newsgroups, search engines, your signature file, free link sites, reciprocal link sites, link exchanges, and press releases.
Most link sites and free classified ad sites are sponsored by individuals or companies. They have created the sites for the purpose of generating leads to help them promote their product or service. Also, it does take time to place these advertisements and you are usually required to provide more personal information such as your name, e-mail, phone number ext. Sometimes they will limit the ads to two weeks, but for the most part they are up for as much as thirty to sixty days.
Newsgroup postings are free, but do not spam or it will cost time and money and your service provider may disconnect your service. The downside to newsgroup postings is that your advertisement might not standout; so it is nice to post your ad using a lot of different headlines. Newsgroup postings are also a great way to test an ad before paying for print advertising.
For the most part Jared Lansky wants to open the eyes of small website holders and businesses to the availability of free internet advertising. It is all over the place and for the most part very simple to do. It is an easy way to create trafficking without wasting money. Just remember there are over thirty five million potential customers on the web.
